Netflix renews ‘You’ for a fourth season before the premiere of the third – series News

The streaming platform relies on fiction starring Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti.

Joe Goldberg and his fans share the same obsessive behavior. While the consequences of Joe’s actions are a bit more tragic and violent, those of his followers have a direct impact on his own benefit, since Netflix has decided to renew You for a fourth season, before even having released the third. It must have done something to watch the episodes compulsively.

The company very quickly bet on this story, based on a novel by Caroline Kepnes. “When reading Caroline’s book, Greg [Berlanti] and I quickly became obsessed with Joe Goldberg and his twisted world, “declares producer Sera Gamble,” It has been exciting to see Penn [Badgley] bring Joe to life in a creepy yet compelling way. We are deeply grateful for the tremendous support Netflix has shown to You and to people around the world who have enjoyed watching Joe go wrong for the past three seasons“.

The entire ‘You’ team is excited to explore dark new facets in season 4

The renewal comes a few days before season 3 of You See the light on the streaming platform. In the new batch of episodes we discover a side of Joe (Penn Badgley) that we did not know. He and Love (Victoria Pedretti) have had a son named Henry, who will revolutionize their world. However, Joe has not stopped being who he was and will find another victim in the new neighborhood they just moved to.

The 10 episodes that make up the third installment will be available on Netflix from October 15. They will be full of new faces and characters that will bring a fresh air, from a couple who know everything that happens in Madre Linda, the neighborhood to which they have moved, to Dottie, Love’s mother, who transforms into a regular character to overturn in the care of his daughter and grandson.
