F.Murray Abraham (Mythic Quest), Tom Hollander (The Night Manager), Adam DiMarco (The Order), and Haley Lu Richardson (The Edge of Seventeen) are set to join season 2 of The White Lotus at HBO. The four new cast members join previously announced cast members Michael Imperioli and Aubrey Plaza.

F. Murray Abraham will appear as Bert Di Grasso, an older man traveling with his son (Imperioli) and grandson (DiMarco). DiMarco will play Albie Di Grasso, a recent college graduate. Hollander will play Quentin, an English expatriate vacationing with his friends and his nephew. Richardson stars as Portia, a young woman traveling with her boss. All four will be series regulars, along with Plaza, who will play Harper Spiller, a woman who finds herself on vacation with her husband and his friends.

The White Lotus, known for its dark comedy, social satire, and immense drama, has garnered numerous views and fans and became HBO’s most popular TV show when it first aired last summer. The show took place at a luxurious Hawaiian resort known as the White Lotus and centered around the hotel’s guests, including the hotel’s employees and manager, played by Murray Barlett. The show also tackled topics such as class disparity, money, status, and privilege. The first installment of the series starred Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, Steve Zahn, Natasha Rothwell, Alexandra Daddario, Fred Hechinger, Jake Lacy, Sydney Sweeney, and Brittany O’Grady. Coolidge was recognized for her role as a grieving daughter, Tanya McQuoid, and is also rumored to return to the series for season 2. The setting of the new season has yet to be announced but will take place at another White Lotus location.

“I don’t think you can credibly have [all of the season one characters] on the same vacation again,” creator Mike White said in an interview with IndieWire. “But maybe it could be a Marvel universe type thing, where some of them would come back. We only made one-year deals with the actors, so we’d have to find out who is even available.”

The show was created by Mike White, who also serves as writer, director, and executive producer of the series. David Bernad and Mark Karmine will also return to executive produce.

A release date for the 2nd season has yet to be announced, but fans can surely count on seeing the new White Lotus guests and employees again sometime in 2022. Meanwhile, all 6 episodes of season 1 can be streamed on HBO Max.
